getting panasonic p42x1 or p50x1 - Blu-ray Forum

Gonna order either one from qvc on tuesday after i get paid and this will be my first plasma tv.Will break it in in my room to ensure it get some good warm up times for the phosphors to age.Gonna be using it mostly for movies,some gaming and tv.I am looking forward to having my first plasma and enjoying it for quite some time

i got the 42x1 and love it.. recommended the 50x1 to my brother and her got it

I always go biggest...because if its too small, you may regret. If its too big...well, you can always move it to the living room!

I will be moving the tv to the living room,just have to make sure my mom doesn't watch alot of qvc while i'm at work.I know i will be enjoying it

I would go with the 50"X1 - the pixel pitch is correct.
The 42" is a 1024x768 panel (786,432 pixels), the 50" is 1366x768 (1,049,088).

I have the 42x1 also and am very happy with it. Had it since March with zero issues. Did the break in then used the settings posted by D-Nice over at AVS and the picture is great

Just ordered the 50inch one,now just have to wait for delivery company to call and come to a delivery day.

I am a real fan of 42x1, wouldn't like any other tv's.
