Default Christmas movies in october

Was wondering why did studios release so many of their christmas movies so early? usually, like last year, they're out in novermber and december.

Maby because those 2 months are already packed with releases? just curious.

i would say that and trying to get people to buy them for full price before marking them down to get people to by them on a wim for the holidays. Just a ploy to try and maximize their profits on the product.

They want them stocked and on store shelves when people start their holiday shopping (which is around now)

Some people start shopping BEFORE Black Friday (because they don't want to be in stores when it happens), so the impulse November rush for big summer gift-tentpole titles starts early, around end-of-October. Easier to impulse buy.
