I remember at least 3 twelve inch videodiscs. Only Laserdisc survived.

Versatile Multilayer Disc.

Google it. There are a million articles. 3rd format trying to push their way in the door. Yeah...good luck. Might be a smaller player in Europe but brings nothing to the table of any interest. Just more distruptive nonsense to provoke more stalling on moving Blu-ray forward.

exactly, a different world, maybe next time you call customer support and they put you through to some one in India you can ask them how it is doing.
maybe in a few years you will be able to buy one of these vmd players in pick and save (biglots)

Lets see here, lets adopt a format that uses last gen technology, and less space than an hd dvd, that sounds fantastic, I think I'll go pick me up some vhs's while I'm at it.

It's a 720p, multiple DVD-9 red laser format that will be sold in China only

And like all china exclusive formats, like SVCD before it it'll bomb. Chinese only bootleg the best.

Heck, even the DVD Forum can't stick to one. They have THREE:

HD DVD-ROM
HD DVD-ROM (China)
3x DVD-ROM
