Seems a survey made by IPSOS (and -assumed- to be originating from Sony) received by Kotaku details some of the options in "packages" that could be included in the "possible" future PSN Premium. We find 4 options at different pricing ($29.99 annual or $69.99 annual), and some of the stuff sounds actually quite good: - Cloud storage (accessing your saved games and data anywhere) - Free access to all PSOne games, PSP minis and themes - Exclusive access to some Betas - Online Music & Music Video service (Vidzone?) - Discount on Store content - 1st hour of Full Games playable for free - Member demo sharing of full games - Extended Console waranty 3 years - Exclusive "Sony brand" access, priority Customer service access - Early acess to Store content - Loyalty program rewards - Catch Up TV (?) ok cool. but some of the stuff would DEFINITELY not sit too well with me (and I'm not even a big time multiplayer fan): - Cross Game Voice chat (uh? ONLY for PSN Premium?) - Netflix useable without disc (That'd be spitting in our faces, figuratively speaking) - Member only in game content (way to create a two tiered game experience) - User to User challenges (cf X-game chat - it's a multiplayer feature) - Facebook connectivity (aren't we supposed to have that already?) We'll have to wait and see, but definitely a mixed bag here... ![]() |

Any idea what "Trophy Alerts" means? Would that be telling you when people on your friends list got a Trophy? |

Works for me, I could not possibly care less about X-game chat. I hate talking to ppl while I play, especially if it's not related to the game I'm playing (which it wouldn't be).
Depending on what is included and for what price, I'm completely happy with what I get now. I may consider cloud storage and the free PS1/mini access though since I own 3 PS3's and spend a lot on PS1/minis already anyways. |

Some of the things that are going to the subscription service would suck (xgame chat, netflix w/o disc, user-user challenges). But Im all for some form of subscription service for things like discounted content, access to PS1 games, etc. I guess we just have to wait and see.

it seems like there's no winning plan with this service. Why isn't the $70 one all inclusive? I think this must be just a demo sheet of things they are thinking about.
There's no way they'll have 3 $70 services that all offer different content. |

![]() ONLINE PLAY WILL ALWAYS REMAIN FREE!!! In fact, it has been stated that everything currently available on the PSN for free shall remain free whenever this subscription service BS is implemented. |
