Review looks good. I was already planning on purchasing this movie but the great scores on PQ and AQ really solidify my want. I liked the movie a lot but a fair rating is probably 3.5/5.

I haven't been entirely impressed with Universal's U-Control tracks of late, but the Picture-in-Picture gem that accompanies 9 is definitely an exception

Not a big fan of U-Control either but I might have to check this one out.

Hmm, only a 3.5? Does that mean I'll love it or hate it? Or is it just okay? It's only a 3 at Amazon, does that mean their reviewers are jerks or will I really hate it? I'm so confused! Should I blind-buy it or not?!

Renting is a good idea. I think the 3.5 means that it was pretty good but I could have been better. It was not quite as deep as expected and the characters weren't quite as fleshed out as I would have hoped but it was still really cool in my opinion.

Yeah, I really liked the flick. Although, I wasn't too enthusiastic about Elijah Wood as a casting choice. That was just rather blah to me.

I thought all the voice acting was pretty dern good; though, I couldn't help but picture Frodo Baggins in the little guy. The only time he has not been Frodo was in Sin City ... played a slightly different character.

I don't recommend blind buying often and 9 does not fall into that category but I would definitely recommend a rental because I thought it was really cool.

See I actually liked him in Sin City...granted he didn't talk at all as I recall. But, his character was cool and he nailed that part. But, this flick was still good in spite of him.

I would blind buy it, but not at the $24.99 retail price that even Amazon is charging for it. I'll rent it from Netflix, and then buy it used from Amazon if I like it well enough.

I'm a huge Tim Burton fan and really enjoys movie of this genre....but, I literally walked out of the theater on this one (something I rarely do). I was bored to death! I didn't care about the underlying mystery of the story or about any of the characters.

I highly recommend renting before a blind purchase!

That was one of the main criticisms that I read about it--that it was boring. I definitely plan to rent it though.

I thought this was an excellent and unique movie. I dont get Americans tastes in movies and why movies like District 9 get such high praise and viewership, and movies like this get ignored. I thought district 9 was just aweful and ridiculously cheese with typical american sexual perversions thrown in to quench their desire despite being puritan combined with cashing in on the documentary style film making craze and add in no name actors and almost no acting, and there ya go.

Story is thin, but I enjoyed the hell out of it in the theater. I found myself rooting for the little dolls because they were in extreme peril for most of the movie. Loved the visuals and the score as well.
