Cool Runnings - Blu-ray Forum

Today, all of a sudden, I thought about this excellent comedy with John Candy (R.I.P.) and was wondering if there'd been any talk regarding its release. I see that it's a Walt Disney Production, distributed by Buena Vista Pictures on DVD back in the early '2000s.
Does any one know if Buena Vista still owns the rights and plan to release this some day? I know they've released hit titles on Blu-ray before so this could happen, although this isn't Face/Off or The Rock.

It's kind of a low-level catalog comedy title. I don't imagine it'll be a big seller, so I wouldn't hold my breath on this coming out anytime soon, unfortunately.

It was only released once on DVD, and that was over a decade ago.

One can always dream, I guess, but you're indeed very right in your arguments. Won't hold my breath and just get another version.

The HD transfer was on Netflix for a while, and I watched it on there. It's still one of my favorites after all these years, and I'd love to see it released on Blu-ray.
