Talking Birthday Haul!

Well my B-day was yesterday, and my wish list mainly comprised of.. Blu-ray movies.
So yesterday, after the longest Metro ride of my life (2 trains broke down, I spent over 2 hours standing around in huge crowds), I finally got to visit my folks and open my gifts.... this is what I got (if I can remember it all)...

14 Blu-ray movies:
300 (YES!!!!)
Big Fish
Chronos
PotC
PotC2
Planet Earth
Blue Planet
Blazing Saddles
Monster House
Kung Fu Hustle
March of the Penguins
Superman Returns
X-men 3
Night at the Museum

1 DVD:
The Tick

1 PS3 game:
Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Best Birthhday EVER.... if you cut out the 2 hours at the metro.... oh, and the 8 hours at work....

Now I still want to get Corpse Bride, Scanner Darkly, Goodnight and Good Luck, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow... and eventually Ghost in the Shell, Final Fantasy Spirits Within, and so on....

Happy Birthday! Your parents must know how to read your minds. Either that or you're a heavy hinter.

Heh heh.. well with the Big screen TV, my constant raving about how awesome Blu-ray is, and my list of suggested gifts on my Live Journal, I think they got the message.

I really dislike the Metro, that is why I moved close enough to walk to my office

Where abouts in DC are you located?

I am actually way out past vienna. But I work right in the middle of DC, near the White House actually.

I do plan to move closer, and we are working on finding a place. An hour commute on average is just too long! That's another 2 hours out of our day! I could watch a movie in that time :P

Thanks for all the death threats and support!
It was not just my folks. It was also from my 2 sisters, my brother, and my wife. It is also important to note that my brother and I are twins, share the same birthday, and he got an expensive bike (that was about all he got). So to make up for that, they got me lots of movies.

Now it's time to take a little vacation or call in sick for a couple of days, so you can watch all those movies.

I think it will take me a month just to find the time to see them all.
Not that I'm complaining!
