Default How to transfer PS3 account data. Please help.

OK Ive searched and searched and couldn't find this anywhere, if it has been asked before just post the link to the thread.

My wife got me a new PS3 slim for an early birthday present. I have moved everything, so far....... I am having trouble transfering my network account, home account, ps3 account, whatever it's freaking called. I do not the ability to hook both ps3's up and connect via an E-net cable. I know it's possibel and I know there's a way becasue I had called Sony before and asked but i cna't remember how. I tried calling them again but I'm not wating on the phone for 10+ minutes to find out. Someone please help me. Thanks in advance.

You just select whatever PSN signup (or whatever it says) icon is there when there's no existing account, choose the retrieve existing account option then put in your email and password to sign in.

moron of me I just remembered that too.. Well at least I knwo I did it right now I just have to remember how to cancel it on the old one.

I hope I'm not too late. You'll want to do more than just reformat. You can only have your PSN acct registered to 5 systems (max). If you only reformat then your acct will still be registered on the older system. This will leave you only 3 systems to register to (1 for the slim + 1 for the fat + 3 not yet used = 5). If you don't plan on using the fat anymore, then sign in on the fat, go to account settings>system activation then choose deactivate system. This is all VERY important if you have movies downloaded from psn because movies can only be downloaded to 1 active system instead of 5.
