Default What are some of your favorite levels...

Any game, any system...what game levels and/or missions were memorable to you (either because they were awesome or just plain infuriating)?

Some of mine:

There's more...I'm forgetting a lot....

I think we've found Sussudio's weakness in general chat: video game discussion!

The first thing I thought when I read this title was this one time back when I was like 10, I was playng SMB on the NES, and I believe it was the end of world 3-3, where there was one of those scale things right at the end of the level before the flagpole. Well I timed it just so, such that the scale was at its max when I jumped from it, and I actually jumped all the way oer the flagpole. Then I (well, Mario) was just walking around where the castle is; normally you'd hit the pole then dismount and go in the door. Not the case here; it was like "free play" so to speak. It was like a level would normally be as far as the controls and stuff. When I got bored of that, I ran to the right for as long as I could until the time ran out. The right side of the castle was never-ending; it was just a contiguous wall of brick that went on forever (apparently).

To this day, I have not been able to duplicate the feat.

The first two that came to mind:

Ganon's Castle on Ocarina of Time

and Hyrule Castle on Twilight Princess

I love most of the dungeons in the Zelda series (except for Majora's Mark, though I loved the game overall, and every Water Temple ).

I really enjoyed the zero-g areas of Dead Space, as well as the areas where you have to go outside the ship into the vacuum of space. I thought those were really neat touches that I'd never seen before. I especially loved the claustrophobic change in sound when you were outside the ship.

Ok, admit it, how many people cheated in Mario Kart 64 on Wario Stadium and Rainbow Road?

Wario Stadium was the much easier cheat so we did from time to time....I didn't ever use the one on DK's JP though.

Do you mean jumping off the road and landing on another piece of the track below you? I could never do it

It's not that bad, full speed hard left at the second yellow bar after the checkered line on Rainbow.

You skip half the track! Even if you miss if you are close enough to the other side they put you there

Benny...that's one of the greatest FPS multiplayer levels ever created as far as I'm concerned.

Mike...I'll have to go try again. Apparently I'm a moron as I could never figure out how to properly do it and would never end up on the other side even when I thought I was close enough

The moon in Final Fantasy IV, you could die just opening treasure chests or in random fights up there.
