The 605 is Costco version of the BD-60 which has outstanding picture quality and solid upscaling. You can read reviews online if you google the BD60.

Hi there I work at Costco. I can tell you the player blu-ray picture quality is very good, now when it comes to the DVD quality I can't tell you we only play blu ray movies on the demos we have on the floor, the load speed is average for a blu-ray that price, the reliability is excellent,we have that player on the whole day from the time we open at 10 am until the time we close at 8:30 PM, It also includes in case you did not notice a free HDMI cable. comparing it to the PS3, the only thing is similar is the quality of the blu-ray picture the PS3 does so much more especially being considerably faster to load the movie. The PS3 is considered one of the best blu-ray players ever made. Most people here given the choice will choose a PS3 over most stand alone blu-ray players in the market today, don't get me wrong there are people who will be more than happy with a stand alone player, but if you want a future proof player the PS3 is hard to beat.
