Germany X-Men Quadrilogy: two different boxed sets

I cannot read German, so what is the difference between these two versions of the X-Men Quadrilogy?

http://www.amazon.de/X-Men-Quadrilog...8698181&sr=8-1

http://www.amazon.de/X-Men-Quadrilog...8698181&sr=8-4

By the way, I cannot find info regarding region code for these two boxed sets. Are they Region B or Region Free?

Thank you.

hi there,

this one is the "regular" x-men quadrilogy... 4 Disc Set.

Here a two pics of my own copy:

The other one is the Special Edition - 8 Disc Set.
It includes Bonus Discs and digital copy as well.

X-Men 1-3 are region free; X-Men Origins Wolverine is locked to Region B

Greets!

Thank you for the reply. Can you please upload a bigger image of the back cover? I cannot read the words.

By the way, I'm surprised to read that the German edition of the X-Men Quadrilogy has just 4 discs, as the UK boxed set comes with 7 discs:

Well - the UK Edition offers extras:

Quote:
X-Men 2 Disc version with all extras - just like the trilogy version
X-Men 2 - see above
X-Men: The Last Stand - see above
X-Men Origins: Wolverine - single-disc edition (no digital copy etc) but has all the extras from the separate release.

German Discs doesn't include any extras at all (except of audio commentary, unused scenes etc.). You have to buy the 8 Disc Special Edition if you're interested in extras.

Thank you the picture and the info, it was extremely helpful.

Unfortunately I now see that I cannot buy the German boxed sets, as Wolverine is encoded as Region B only, and my PS3 will play just Region A and Region Free discs.

Whats that on the back cover a "extended" version of wolverine? Thought there was only one cut, what do you know. How many minutes difference?

Maybe this explains it: German theatrical version was cut by the distributor before submission to the FSK to secure a "Not under 16" rating (the killing of the old couple is shortened, you don't see Wolverine igniting the gasoline). So the "extended" is really only the 107 min theatrical version everybody else got.
