Default We need to support Warner

No doubt 300 was a big factor in them staying neutral but we NEED to keep supporting them. Pick up a movie from them on the day of the BUY-A-THON.

If they stay neutral for a while and then another movie that does as good as 300 might convince them to go Blu exclusive... I hope

Why, so they can shit on us too? It's pretty clear now that MS money is the deciding factor in this war, not the wishes of the consumer.

Don't acquiesce to defeat so quickly, dude. M$ "may push us around, but we'll rise again." - Offspring.

Blu-ray still has a substantial lead in sales since inception, weekly sales tendencies, installed userbase, and of course, vastly superior disc space.

We're gonna bite back and bring these ___s down.

As for Warner; I plan on getting Harry Potter this year. And once they're more official, I'll get Batman Begins, V for Vendetta, and Matrix Trilogy. Also getting Troy and possibly Blade Runner. Paramount may have sold us out, but my instinct is that Warner won't. Billionaire Ted has less need for bribes.

What the BDA needs to do here is stroke Warner a little. Keep them happy. If it takes incentives then why not?.

I suggest checking out this thread I posted a few weeks ago. There is no email but some relevant contact info and some interesting comments by other members.

How about:

Blade Runner 5 disc Complete and Ultimate editions
Five Kubrick films (2001, A ClockWork Orange, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, Eyes Wide Shut)
Oceans 11, 12 and 13
Harry Potter 1-5

All of those are purchases for me.

Angry I agree WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!

We have to really support the studios that do give us movies on blu-ray even more now. The only thing these big companies understand is CA$H, so Paramount/Dreamworks has to feel this in their pockets. Don't buy their DVD's no matter what, don't rent them and don't support them period!!!!

I think right now we NEED to buy Paramount Blu-ray and Warner Blu-ray.
The other companies are not going to turn so easily but if we can show paramount that Blu-ray is the format of choice, I think we will be able to change their mind. And if Warner sees their Blu sales get even bigger, they may drop HD-DVD altogether!

Two of them. Just the discs ($27.95 at Amazon) and an Ultimate Edition in a metal case (Deckard Briefcase).

Three versions of the film + the workprint version.
