I have very fond memories of finally getting Satellite TV (and HBO) in 2000, and watching re-runs of this show on HBO, it was really funny then, and I was only eleven/twelve! I haven't seen it since HBO stopped re-running it, so it will be interesting to get back into it all these years later!

It's nice to see that an independent label is releasing this (they acquired the rights from Sony), because Sony sure doesn't seem interested in releasing anything beyond the first season.

And before the questions arrive, I think it unlikely that The Larry Sanders Show will show up on Blu-ray, because many sequences (the "show" portions) were filmed on SD video, while the rest of the show was shot on film. I suppose it could show up with a caveat about the video portions, but the show's comparably small following probably eliminates that possibility.

EDIT: For those entirely uninitiated, Hulu/Crackle seems to be running a bunch of episodes right now. It should help to justify the big price tag, which I assume is due to the massive amount of rights clearances that had to be paid for in order to present each episode unedited.

Loved everything about this show! So many great moments between Shandling & Rip Torn. Jeffrey Tambor was also great. Lots of future stars in that supporting cast including a balding Jeremy Piven.

Another HBO gem was "Dream On".
