PS3 and 5 free Blu-rays; what if system breaks? - Blu-ray Forum

do they need the proof of purchase right from the box? or can you photocopy that too like the reciept? What if the system breaks and needs to be returned?? then what? youre screwed cause the box has no proof of purchase? What did you guys do?

The PS3 has a one year warranty, so all you have to do is call Sony customer support regarding warranty coverage. As long as you have the serial number and you haven't voided the warranty by opening up the console, you should be fine.

After a couple of weeks, I thow out the boxes anyway. If I had kept it or my 56" tv, It would need it's own room. As long as you have the reciept, your fine.
