Seen the movie and its quite good in my opinion.
But where can you get it on blu ray and is the transfer and extra material good?

A family services social worker fights to save a little girl with a haunted past, only to find out that this mysterious new case turns into a nightmare she may never survive.

I've got the R3 DVD imported from Thailand. It's ok. It really could have been better. The only releases I see are Region B releases of the film. It hasn't been released here theatrically yet. Which is a shame. I think Bradley Cooper does well with horror like he does with comedies.

Aus der Entfernung ist das Bild relativ scharf und detailreich. Doch aus direkter Nähe erkennt man eine Schicht Filmkorn, die einige Details überlagert. Durch den guten Kontrastumfang und einen guten Schwarzwert wirken die meisten Aufnahmen recht plastisch. Probleme gibt es mit ein paar dunkleren und kontrastärmeren Szenen, die zumeist auch einige Spezialeffekte enthalten. Diese wirken etwas weich und weniger plastisch. Das Filmkorn wurde nicht mit Antirauschsoftware bearbeitet. Um es fehlerfrei dazustellen, wurde das Bild mit einer durchschnittlichen Videodatenrate von 34 Mbps enkodiert. Damit kommt die BD der Filmvorlage sehr nahe.

Der Ton bietet einen sehr hohen Dynamikumfang, tiefe Bässe und intensive Verwendung der Surroundkanäle. Doch diese Top-Qualitäten werden in extrem kleinen “Häppchen” serviert. Die meiste Zeit ist der Film tontechnisch eher ruhig und teilweise frontlastig. Doch sobald ein Ton-Schockeffekt den Zuschauer erschrecken soll, gibt es Lautstärkesprünge und tiefen Bass. Die Machart erinnert etwas an “Event Horizon”, “Drag Me to Hell” oder “Pandorum“. D.h. die Dialoge sind relativ leise gemischt worden, damit man lauter aufdreht, wodurch sich die Toneffekte heftiger auswirken. Ein Beispiel sei die, Ton-mäßig auf Referenz-Niveau liegende, Fahrstuhlszene. Diese Szene dauert nicht mal eine Minute, doch der Ton vermittelt dem Zuschauer glaubhaft in einem abstürzenden Fahrstuhl mitzufahren. Der Dynamiksprung und der Basseinsatz zu Beginn dieser Szenen sind absolut fantastisch. Das Klangfeld umhüllt den Zuschauer vollkommen. Hierbei agieren die Surroundkanäle extrem aggressiv. Danach ist wieder Ruhe angesagt bis zum nächsten, sehr kurzen Schockeinsatz. Die englische Tonspur präsentiert die Tonkulisse noch aggressiver und die Dynamiksprünge fallen noch extremer aus. Würde der Film nur aus aneinandergereihten Fahrstuhlszenen bestehen, wäre der Ton auf Referenzniveau und der Ton böte eine “Dauerkrach”-Klangkulisse wie “Terminator 4: Die Erlösung“.
English (outline):

o mostly a quite calm soundtrack with a few horror sound effects
+ very few, very short scenes offer powerful & deep bass, very high dynamic range, immersing sound field (e.g. elevator scene)

Paramount Home Entertainment has announced a January 4th, 2011 release date for ‘Case 39‘ on Blu-ray disc.

The Blu-ray release will feature a 1080p AVC/MPEG-4 video presentation with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio.

i thought it was "eh" but the next day i just kept thinking about it lol.... so yea, i kind of like it and will probable end up buying when it is 10 bux or so

The film itself was more psychological than anything. Probably only one scene that made me jump but not something that lingered. Decent if you like the kinda film that lags till the end.

Had zero expectations going into this... was then promptly blown away at how terrifying it was. What helped was that I didn't watch the trailer, so the big twist was truly a big twist for me. Did this one sneak up on anyone else?

I feel like this one is really underrated. Maybe I need to give it another go to see if it's as scary as I remember.

I'd buy the blu, but the special features are weak. Needs a commentary track or something.

It’s not very scary. Movie can’t seem to decide if it wants to be a horror movie or psychological thriller.

I found this at Dollar Tree recently and finally watched it. I thought it was solid. I don't know why it got a shitty review.
