Well, well, well...

I just got back from a little place called wal-mart with 2 new copies of BLADES OF GLORY on blu-ray!!!!!!! Yes, they got a whopping 4 copies in and i happened to have gotten 2 of them! i should have gotten 4... but i didn't have the money. Seeing as i doubt a lot will be in circulation, how much do you think i could get with these puppies...??

Haha, you're a lucky fellow. I have no idea why people would want that movie, but it indeed could be a collector's item. You know, like the postage stamp that has the picture upside down. (Or something like that.

not that much prolly around the same price you paid for them.

my wal-marts in my area are in high def dispare!!We havent got that many titles, just 300 and I saw this morning they got heroes on hddvd

I called another one close by and she said whats Blu-ray?..........lol

Your lucky...the Wal-mart region here in Florida does not even have a SKU listed for the Blu-ray version. The rep in electronics stated, of course take this with a grain of salt, they were told if they got any in they were to send them back to their distribution center.

Well believe it or not every Wal-mart has that upc/sku in there database. Its downloaded from corporate(AK) Thats why you can return items to any store, regardless where purchased.

I've noticed that the Walmart stores in the ritzier neighborhoods have a better selection of blu-rays. I've been to three in really expensive areas that have displays in the middle of the main aisle running parallell to the front of the store in front of the electronics dept. I've been to a couple of walmarts in areas that are more average and they only have a few located at the bottom of the PS3 display. Who knew that Walmart did so much Targeting?

Does it have PCM audio?
I only ask because the hd dvd version is only core 5.1 audio.

Hmm..don't really see whats so surprising about this, BoG shipped out to a number of stores before the recall order. It was a rush (not well organized) announcement so i'm sure some guys managed to keep a bit of their inventory for collection purposes, especially the smaller stores not on consignment (meaning they own their inventory already).
I dont see this going up in value as a collectors item, since we all know in a few months we'll be getting ALL paramount movies back on blu-ray anyway...can't really trust these guys to stick to anything, thats the legacy they made for themselves.

Congrats on the find, Im going out to look today. It would be dope if BoG blu ray outsold HD DVD. He he I know it wont happen but damn would it be funny.
