Blu-ray Ninja

A couple weeks ago, I was seriously considering buying an HD DVD player. I had about ten titles I was ready to buy. Mostly from Universal. None from Paramount. Before doing so, I re-read many threads in support for blu-ray and the superior technology. The arguments and facts for blu to be the dominating HD disk in the Hi Def Market are dead on. I did a 180 and nixed the idea of buying into an inferior format to acquire a few movies that are unavailable on BD at this time. To support an inferior disk will only prolong this format war which does nobody any good. If I was willing to buy into an inferior product, imagine how easy it would be for HD DVD campers to make the switch to a superior product and get on board with many titles they do not have access to at this time, plus the many new blu exclusive titles coming up soon! I'm sure that is happening right now as a matter of fact. The paramount switch over is virtually benign as far as any titles to be released now or in the future. Yes, I know everyone wants Transformers, but lets take a look at the Big Picture. Not much more from paramount that I want will be released. I am perfectly happy to wait out Universal and Paramount to come on board in the future. More and more movie companies are making the switch or at least going neutral to make sales in the dominating HD video market. We are also benefiting the currently ignorant majority of the public who only purchase DVDs at the moment. HD set prices are dropping dramatically, and they will be looking for a format to purchase into. There is really no education out there for the public on this matter. The more the lay person can be introduced into the "new" blu market, the more studio support will continue and new BDs will be released for the ever growing demand for new movies. It is a snowball effect. This is an exciting time really. We tru blues are in the process of changing the market place to blu-ray and we are watching the fledgling expansion of the superior product. To everyone... stay tru blu, enjoy this ride unfolding before our eyes and know that every single one of you is changing the direction of the HD Video market place. I'm so proud of everyone on this site. Thank you for letting me see the tru blu light. Have a great weekend everyone. Mark
