Its a very beautiful film to look at. The story feels a bit slow at the beginning and a bit rushed at the end. Its certainly not a bad movie but its not the greatest either. Maybe it has more in it on blu.

PQ - 10/10 (for the animation I mean)
Story - 6/10.

My score on the blu ray overall 7.5/10 if it meets a 5/5 on PQ.

Anyone know if the UK 3D blu ray release will include 2D version?

Aww...the cover art doesn't look epic.

The US one looks marginally better but both don't match up to the movie itselfs cinematography and visuals.

I'm a sucker for animation and fantasy so I'm down for it. I loved it, honestly, even if I do feel that another 30 minutes would have made it that much better. As I said before, it's a great movie but it could have been an excellent one.

Then again, not sure how willing people are to see LOTR with owls in the US anyway so maybe it always had something holding it back as well.

Hoping for a revisited extended Snyder cut in the future.

Yeah the PQ is set to be great. Haven't seen the film myself, so will probably get this as a rental to start off with. But yeah a film about owls, I'm sure it won't be hard to convice the Mrs to watch it with me.
