Default HBO Series Discussion

This is a thread dedicated to discussing all things HBO, including mini-series and any future series. Also, announcements for HBO series on blu-ray can be made here. In the poll for future blu-ray release, please take into account not only which one you'd like, but also which would benefit most from the blu treatment. Also, only series that made it through more than one season were chosen for the poll, aside from Boardwalk Empire which is a new series.

So what's your favorite series/mini-series?

Mine:

Band of Brothers
Pacific
Deadwood
The Wire

Note: Voting for more than one series is allowed.

I've only seen Band of Brothers.

So my favorite is Band of Brothers.

One of the best things I've ever watched, ever.

That's one of the ones I chose as well. Voting for more than one series was allowed.

I will definitely not argue that Band of Brothers wasn't a great show but The Wire was such a underrated show that deserved better recognition.

My favorite is Band of Brothers and I am currently watching The Pacific. I really enjoyed Carnivale and voted for that series. Just wished they did a "wrap up" movie instead of just ending the series like they did.

My vote is for "The Sopranos," in regards to wanting complete Blu-ray series next.

My favorite is "Band of Brothers" followed by "The Pacific."

I was so happy when they released Deadwood on blu, but I can't understand why they're releasing Sopranos so scarcely and stingily.

I have only seen Band of Brothers fully, and pieces of The Pacific, Rome, Deadwood and John Adams. But, the bits I have seen are great. I am really intrigued by Boardwalk Empire. I would like to watch that, so hopefully it gets released on blu-ray.

Default HBO Lombardi Documentary

This may be unrealted since it is not a series but does anyone know if the Lombardi documentary will be released on blu-ray? I dont have HBO, but love football and would like to see this. I have both Band of Brothers and The Pacific on blu-ray and like what I've seen from HBO.

It's a new series, so it will undoubtedly get a blu-ray release around a month before the second season airs. It's a fantastic series. I'm looking forward to seeing the new series Game of Thrones with Sean Bean. Absolutely cannot wait for this.

I'm not sure about their documentary series. As of now I would say that the chances are very slim you will see those released on blu any time in the near future.
