I want more!

I feel like an announcement should be coming any day now for Totoro and another title, except I don't really know what things are like in Japan right now. Maybe even Ghibli is having to change up their schedule because of the disaster, which is understandable.

I really, really wish they would double up on Miyazaki releases though.

I just wish they'd reissue Ponyo with a cover to go more in line with the other releases. Hell, I WOULD plunk down another 80$ for that!

I usually like minimalism but I think the Japanese covers suck. A rainbow doesn't represent Ghibli films - that's what it's going to look like when shelved together.

I bet there will be a black brown or grey eventually. But I agree there is kind of a starburst theme going on.

That, and the fact that it's a German release. I'm only buying the Japanese ones. Love the image chosen though.

Mimi o sumaseba is my favorite Ghibli film. I'll be so tempted to order this even though I own the DVD. The backgrounds should look amazing on Blu-ray.

That's wonderful news! One of the sweetest films in the studio's history. Will definitely order this one. Love the cover, but somehow think this should have switched its colour palette with Laputa.

... So no Miyazaki?

Edit: Arrietty is coming in June, then a month later is Whisper of the Heart? I hope this means the release schedule is changing, maybe they will start releasing new titles every month?!

Miyazaki did write the screenplay and do some of the storyboards for Whisper of the Heart. While this was Yoshifumi Kondo's first (and last) film as director (due to his untimely death), he was heavily involved with Ghibli films up until Princess Mononoke.

I love Whisper of the Heart. My favourite Non-Miyazaki Ghibli film however, is Only Yesterday, so hopefully that'll come soon.

It's cool that they included a dub, but since owning the DVD, I've only watched it once, so I can hold off for the supposed North American release, which I may or may not even buy.

Strange, I have the guidebook that fits in the slot in the case with my Nausicaa version, but I don't think I got the other Nausicaa insert that you have. Also, your Nausicaa cover looks like a darker blue than my copy. Not sure if this is just room lighting or something else, but if you look at the first post of this thread you can see the color on that cover is more aqua/cyan hued. Does anyone know if they reissued this with a different case maybe?

I check everywhere people post, same as mine, include those posting at Amazon JP and also http://www.asianblurayguide.com/

Edit: re-read what you type, ops... the insert you mean actually is pullout from the guidebook itself.
