Default Netflix and Blockbuster Good or Bad

I have a question I work a nonprofit job and my income is not the best. I knew I had to have the best system so I looked in to both HD-DVD and Blue-Ray and it was an easy chose. But I was wondering if renting Blue-ray was good or bad for business. I think renting at blockbuster and netflix increases Blue-ray brand awareness for people who don't know much about next gen systems but would it be better just to buy like 1 movie a month instead?

well if I was in your position I would want more so I would rent and then just buy the ones you really like.
That way you get to watch a lot more for your money. I use netflick for movies I am not sure I would want to buy, although I do buy about two a week on average.
To be honest I do not think renting is a bad idea because it shows what the customer demand is, which in turn means more selection and quantity.
Oh and there is no E in Blu-ray and good look with your choice!

good question... I think renting from either can't hurt... however, I was a member with both (dropping over $30 a month between the 2)... I've decided to use that $30 towards a movie each month instead (movie purchase that is)

I'd also recommend buying over renting especially when you are on a budget... as you will usually watch the film more than once. However, you still need to make the decision based on what serves you best. If you only like watching movies once, then rent!

All the best with your choices!
Have an enjoyable Hidef life

Renting is great. BB went with BD. hdduds hate that. I rent from blockbuster and I buy BD as well.

BB renting BD is a HUGE marketing push.

Thank you Blockbuster.

The Blu Army needs to rent from BlockBuster
