Dirt Vs. Motorstorm - Blu-ray Forum

Having played both, i'm firmly in the Motorstorm camp, but when you check out the reviews for both games, Dirt is rated superior to Motorstorm in almost all respects.

Frankly, Reviewers who're suggesting that Dirt looks as good as Motorstorm have a lot of sh%t in them imo. What do you guys feel???

I haven't played the full games or anything but judging from the demos, Dirt was boring... Motorstorm seems awesome tho

Yesh!!.....that was what i was looking for........a word that best describes dirt....BORING!!

that's why demos rule.......too bad i just picked it up in a bundle with Ghost recon 2, and Heavenly Sword.........rest of the bundle rocks btw.

I dunno...I've only played the demo for both, but I kept having this feeling that Dirt will be so much better if I used a steering wheel and not SIXAXIS. The car's reaction seemed more "natural" to me, oversteering and all.

Anyone played both with a wheel?

I haven't played dirt. Motorstorm is to unstable for me. I had to pass on MS. Great game play but the game wouldn't load and would hang up. I tried all the fixes and nothing worked. MS is a flawed game. MS has a programing problem for sure. Vehicle selection load times is unacceptable. Further proving my point that the game is unstable.

I'll pass on both and I'm cautious about MS2.

Motorstorm for me but they're different enough that I enjoy both.

That's very odd. My son and I have played MS a lot and we've experienced no stability issues. What sort of issues are you seeing?

Don't know that vehicle load times have been long enough for me to object to; I'll pay attention next time we play.

Motorstorm is like an arcade game. Albeit a very fun arcade game, while Dirt is a rally car simulator much like Gran Turismo. If you wan't technical driving and a more Gran Turismo feel then it is Dirt. If you wan't to go out and bang it up for fun then Motorstorm is the way to go. The only thing I don't like about Dirt is the fact that the stupid windshield either cracks or falls out whether it is a big impact or if someone just side swipes you. Crazy!
