I have been keeping my eye on this one, looks nice I'm most likely going to buy as from what I've seen JB has it cheapest. Shame that there's only 6 episodes.

Thanks for the heads-up, Supernaut.
.................................................. ....... Edited for a change of mind: (I'm allowed to do that, aren't I? ![]() Relented, and bought this pack this arvo. I got it for within a dollar or so of the US price, I don't have to pay or wait for shipping, the OZ release is the uncut version (which the US and UK releases aren't), it's on the shelf now (which the US and UK releases aren't), and the OFLC logo I get childishly annoyed by is just on a clear external slip, which I can happily discard. Bottom line: I wasn't going to do better, so if I wanted to watch this show - in all its awesome crassness - on Blu-ray, I needed to jump. So I did. I ended up managing to wangle a deal out of JB, and got the two in their limited-edition digisleeve packaging for $65 total. A bit pricey, I still think, but I was content.
I notice the digisleeves of GotA are still floating around the shelves, though around $40 OZ last time I looked. |

When I bought my Blood and Sand, according to JB Hi-Fi it was the very last copy in their inventory system for the whole of NSW. I searched for it specifically because, if I was going to buy the Gods of the Arena digibook, I wanted them to match. (Obsessive? No, not me!)
(And now, with the Arena digibook lagging in sales, I'll bet when the next series comes out, they won't do the digibook thang, so my plans will be thwarted!) But seriously, if you see Blood and Sand around as a digibook, grab it on the spot. It's now a very rare beast. (I think even the US release has gone to ordinary amarays.) Hi dareon,
That one is out of print in Australia, so you won't see it on the Australian JB Hi-Fi site any more. But if you look at JB Hi-Fi in New Zealand, it's still available from there. (Thanks for the info, LordCrumb ! ![]() |
