Fred Meyers seems to be a Pacific Northwest chain as I haven't seen one outside of the Washington, Oregon, and Idaho areas.

It seems to me that Fred moved out of Utah a couple of years ago. I didn't know they were still in business.

Do you mean only blu players and blu movies and no HD-DVD movies? I 'm confused.

We have Fred Meyers up here in Alaska also. They have been pretty slow so far in getting into HD. The store near me has only a few copies of 300 for sale in both formats. They didn't have any players in either format (except for the PS3) the last time I looked. I would like to see them get a better selection as I actually prefer Fred Meyers over Wal-mart. They tend to carry better quality merchandise than Wal-mart in my opinion, and since I do my grocery shopping there anyway, it's way more convenient.

Fred Meyer is a mainly a Pac Northwest Chain which also owns QFC. I do believe they are also known as "Kroeger".

The Fred Meyer in my neighborhood only has a small HD section and does carry both Blu ray and HD DVD movies. I did find "We Are Marshall" there when everyone else was out on its launch day last week.
