It does not say anything about the UK distribution. The Deluxe DVD has been distributed in The Netherlands, UK and Germany by Universal. That could mean, it are the first Universal titles!!!

Do you have a source / link for this ?

Would be great if true, especially as Universal do (or did) have the UK rights.

I've no hard evidence, but they have appeared on a price comparison sit eI use to get the best blu ray deals:

http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/C4HD50006.htm

and

http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/C4HD50007.htm

And considering theres about 6 shops that have it listed, its good enough for me.

Checked on various sites, but it appears to be HD DVD. In most cases noted as deleted. :S

Does anyone know if the American release will be the director's cut and/or have the same special features as the R1 2 disc DVD?

EDIT: Yes, 'Shallow Grave' is in desperate need of an American Blu-ray release!!! One of my all-time favorite films.

The newly posted Trainspotting Blu-ray Review confirms the US Blu-ray has all of the special features from the 2 disc R1 Collector's Edition are here.

Now, my only question is: Is this the international version or the poorly dubbed American version?

Thats exactly what I was looking to ask. If its the dubbed American version then I'm not going to bother with a purchase.

I'm curious about this as well. I think we might be safe though. I just checked the back of my collector's edition dvd with the international cut, and it's listed as 94 minutes long. Which is the same length noted in the blu-ray review.

So unless the international cut only has a few additional seconds included, it should be the same version.

Edit: Or wait, was the only difference the dubbing between the two cuts?
