I imagine this'll include North by Northwest, Strangers on a Train, Dial M For Murder and a few others. I have the Warner Bros Hitchcock Signature Collection on DVD but have only watched two of the films in the set!

For me 2011 has been pretty bare for catalogue releases, but a Warner Hitchcock set is massively exciting.

Besides those three, I think the other well-known Hitchcock title owned by Warner is The Wrong Man. So that will hopefully be included as well.

WB released a batch of Hitchcocks a while back - the ones mentioned and also I CONFESS, SUSPICION and STAGE FRIGHT.

Correct; the UK rights, for the three films missing from the UK set, belong to Universal and not WB.

I would prefer standalone releases for these Warner releases, especially Strangers on a Train and Dial M for Murder. Particularly if they were beautiful digibooks like North By Northwest has already got.

I'm absurdly idealistic and impractical about many things, I'm well aware, but wouldn't it be swell if – in a situation like the works of one specific director – the various distribution entities got together and arranged simultaneous releases of their various proprietary titles, but co-ordinated things like the box and disc artwork, and whether each title got one or two discs, that sort of thing?

I would have thought it would be a win in all directions. Each company would market and profit from the titles it had the rights to, and purchasers would get uniform sets that functioned like different volumes of the one series.

Too much to even dream about, do you think?

Thanks mate for the pictures! Luckily they are separate since I already sold NbNW in a auction marked as new. Now might sell my other opened copy of NbNW too and might go for the upcoming Steelbook.. Bought these from Amazons flash deal and they already shipped yesterday!

I've tried region A and Japanese menu language. None of the options are the Cary Grant doc. Selecting the title number manually with the remote is user prohibted on my player as well, so no luck that way

I accessed it using MakeMKV. I haven't thrown it in my player yet. I'll try that later today.

When I played it on my computer, it had forced Asian subtitles. I don't know what language it was.
