Only way I can see Sauroman's army having any chance is if he can recruit MacGyver

Honestly even one of the weaker Sith or Jedi could take out Saruman's entire army.

I'd go with the "Star Wars" universe too. Between armies of stormtroopers, Wookies, Jedi with lightsabers and the Force at their disposal, high-tech blasters and machinery, and a huge armada of starships that could bomb a planet's surface and scorch everything, those puny orcs and elves with their swords and bows and things wouldn't stand a chance.

I could see the Army of the Dead from ROTK being a challenge, but then again, Jedi have ghosts too.

The Witch-King is dead, the Eye of Sauron fell off Mount Doom and the One Ring was destroyed. Try again.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love LoTR and consider it to be the best trilogy ever but I think a better question would be who would win, an army of orcs or an army of Omaticaya?

I like star wars too but it gets worse everytime they are release'd (vader saying no in ROTJ

Obviously Star Wars would win, but I have a question. Several folks are saying one (or two) Jedi would wipe out 10,000 orcs. Is this one orc at a time over a period of many years or is it blitz style all at once? Is this Jedi firing from the Death Star? Otherwise, I just don't see it happening.

And yes, my co-workers will make fun of me when I tell them that I got involved in an online discussion about Star Wars vs LOTR.
