Ah, too bad. When I saw the title I hoped Blue Underground were releasing Lucio Fulci's 1980 crime flick.

Wow. Thread has been inactive in nearly 2 months.

I thought the movie was better than I expected, and if I were to rate, I'd go a 3/5. Definitely rent first for newcomers.

I actually enjoyed it. Had really low expectations going in, but the wife and I liked it quite a bit. Maybe it's because we didn't pay attention to the trailers? Great A/V presentation too.

I agree. I thought it was decent but I don't believe it would have much replay value for me.

I saw Contraband in the theater and thought it was great! 4.5/5

Will wait for a HUGE price drop to buy the BD, maybe Black Friday.

I noticed that too, but I liked the movie. Most reviews on this site should be taken with a grain of salt...

I'll chime in here, I liked it! Full of action, action, action. Is it worth owning??? IDK!!! Seriously, after watching it and "not knowing" whats going to happen next, was the total excitement factor. Watching it again, sorta kills that feeling.

Definitely worth a rental ((yes))...., owning it(if price is below $10)

The re-watchable factor just isn't there ( for me anyways), but if the price is right, I might add to collection down the line.....

I don't know...To me, this could've been a lot better if they really piled on the violence and sleaze. I mean, we're dealing with these sordid characters, and the whole thing feels kinda vanilla. Since they went with the R rating, they should've gone all out and went hard with it--at least then it wouldn't have felt so generic.

Saw this in theaters at a free screening months ago. It wasn't bad, but for me it felt like it switched to being an entirely different movie in the second half. For me it started as a serious thriller about a man trying to help his brother-in-law and keep his family safe, but then in the second half turns into a slightly-comedic heist movie ala Fast Five. That totally broke it for me.
