Default Jimi Hendrix: Jimi Plays Berkeley (10 July 2012)

Release date: 10 July 2012

Track List:

1.Pass It On (Straight Ahead)
2.Hey Baby (New Rising Sun)
3.Lover Man
4.Stone Free
5.Hey Joe
6.I Don't Live Today
7.Machine Gun
8.Foxey Lady
9.Star Spangled Banner
10.Purple Haze
11.Voodoo Child (Slight Return)

Anyone else looking forward to this? An atrocious DVD has already been released. This new Blu-ray edition, however, has additional footage, with everything scanned from the original 16 mm negatives.

I will probably add this to my collection. I'm a big Hendrix fan. I'll wait for the review here before running out to purchase though. I hope they do it justice. I never saw him live, so to me this is the next best thing.

AQ will be pretty decent as the show was presumably multitracked. I'm wondering about PQ.

For something 42 yrs old, as long as it's not Horrible, I'd think most fans could live with it. The MAIN thing is how it Sounds (IMO ).

Judging from the fact that the gig was filmed with shitty 16 mm cameras, you shouldn't be disappointed.

A review of "Jimi Hendrix: Voodoo Child" has just been posted on the website. Waiting for Jimi Plays Berkeley.

Ah ok - well, maybe in a few days IF you have time.

Might have to snag both there with the U/S Promo ($5 off w/DVD trade-in).

JIMI PLAYS BERKELEY & VOODOO CHILD: Both are $16.99 (or $11.99 w/trade-in)
