Default Problems With Surfs Up....

Has anyone else had a problem with "Surfs Up"? About 3-4 minutes into the movie, it stops playing and the only thing I can do with my Samsung BDP-1400 is to shut it off. My other movies, including FF4/ROSS, work great. Could it be the disc? Please advise.

Thanks,

John

No problems here with a PS3, maybe its the disc. You should go and exchange it where ever you got it from.

no problems on my PS3... I recommend exchanging it where you purchased it from. Unless of course you rented it. I would then ask for a rental exchange.

No problems on Panasonic BD10. Just watched it last night. Pretty good flick.

I had a minor problem... Is it the cut right after the Surf's Up logo? On the PS3, the sound seems to drop out for a very split second on the PCM audio track and on the TrueHD one, there's just a slight little pop. Not sure if it's even related to your issue or if it's just in the sound mix...

I've seen the movie twice on my PS3 and didn't notice any problem.

Update to the latest Firmware if you haven't already, if that doesn't solve it...then yeah, take it back to where you bought it and tell them.

I just watched the first 37 minutes (then son had to go to bed) tonight and so far no problems. The movie is a little different than I thought...I was expecting just another animated movie, but Surf's is set up almost like a documentary with lots of voice over. So far both my son and I have enjoyed it...looks great in 1080p!

No problems here on my PS3 either. Played the movie twice, as well as the Chubb Chubb shorts.

Rented from Netflix, no problems on my PS3. And I must say this was an awesome HD presentation.

Was this a good movie? Some reviews I have seen were pretty unforgiving. On the movie itself, not the BD.

It wasn't too bad. I was expecting a lot worse. It is basically the same story as Cars, just a different setting. Worth a rental at least.
