Canada Spider-Man 1 Blu-ray SteelBook (Future Shop Exclusive)

Recieved Spider-Man 1 Tuesday and release is Friday. Love it and had already canceled the German Trilogy SteelBook. The second one is for trade or will go back to the store in a couple of weeks.

There is a thread where all 3 of these steelbooks are being discussed as the ugliest f-ing things ever created in the history of home media packaging.

Looks better in these pictures then what I originally feared based on just the front covers, but still probably going to sit these out since I already have the re-releases from earlier this year.

Looking at all the pictures, it DOES look good...

Everywhere EXCEPT the front cover! If i would get them i would just turn it around and have the back displayed!

Yes I know there is another thread titled Possible upcoming Futureshop exclusives which isn't saying much. The 3 Spider-Man SteelBooks should have their own separate threads which makes them easier to find.

Oh yeah. My apologies. I completely forgot that it was a generic thread and not specifically dedicated to these particular releases.

An honest mistake though given how that entire thread is pretty much devoted to those particular images.

Only if the front cover was better, would've been a great steel set.

Is this actually released Friday or next Tuesday? Their flyer said the 25th, but online says the 21st

Whilst the appreciation of these designs depend on personal taste, there is one thing that I feel that I must say, and that is: the Spider-man logo used on these covers is the logo affected by the symbiote in Spider-man 3.

It is the Spider-man 3 logo.

Please also check out how the logo differs in The Amazing Spider-man.

I was thinking how horrible the front of this looks. The back should be the front, maybe with the title. Spine and interior is okay.

I agree in that I like everything about this SteelBook except for the front cover.

How can people still have issues visually identifying between G1 and G2? Do some of you have such bad visual depth perception?

I think in this case it's the artwork that gives it that "tall" look. All the rest are easy to tell but that top pic makes them look like a G1

That extremely thin blu-banner along the top of the case is what creates a deceptive height illusion for me.
