Thanks for laugh. Cute.

Most bogus looking Star Wars trailer I've ever seen.

Wonderful imagination whomever put that together. Notice how the actual Blu-Ray and HD-DVD logos were missing. Had this been an actual trailer by Lucasfilm it would have been done correctly.

May 19 probably has some significance in the Star Wars saga but nothing comes to mind.

There's a Blu-Ray logo on the box at the end. There would never be an HD-DVD logo since this is a Fox movie.

And May 19th, I believe, is the anniversary of the release of the original Star Wars.

old news, but imagine the day when George Lucas and Fox announce the complete Star Wars Sega box set encoded in AVC with PCM 7.1 audio

No. Lucas has complete control over Star Wars distribution. He is unique in this position in all of Hollywood. He has sole authority to decide the format fate of these films.

there are quite a few of these on youtube.com all of them fake. star wars has a massive following, this movie to blu-ray is as good as a studio shift.

No, really...Even in terms of fan mindset, what IS the purpose of "Fan-made fakey trailers"?

Is it to "Show that you're excited" about an idea?
Is it "Hoping to give someone the idea of what it would look like"?
Is it some psychological comfort for "Expectancy" of what they think is going to come, even if there's no remote evidence whether or not it is outside of wishful thinking?

...Just why these strange anomalies occur has become one of the greatest mysteries of the age--
Can anyone out there help us shed some light on this strange primitive ritual? Throw us a hint? Anything??

Most people who put these on you tube admit that they are fake. Unless someone from Lucasfilm, Ltd., or Fox makes any announcements don't bet on them seeing the light of day. How many more Star Wars threads do we need?

Always thought the psychological motivation was more like the Cottingly Fairy photos, or that Alien Autopsy film:
Y'know, where geek-pride has been bruised and beaten in the face of reality, to the point that the victim is reduced to taking desperate measures to say "Nyah, see, look, I was right, there IS one!".

(Or else it's some kind of totem ritual, where they believe that if they can carve an image of the creature out of wood, it'll somehow voodoo the real thing into existence sooner...)

Whoever made this did a piss poor job of editing the sound and video. And both the PQ and AQ are horrendous as well. Something like that is pretty laughable.
