Eh.
I think this technology is still a few years away. Price points are way too high for people to really get into it. It's probably worth waiting for true 4K to get here. With DVD still having a stronghold on home media sales I don't think Joe Everyman is going to care about 4K right now. |

This is a great article
.http://www.zdnet.com/why-4k-uhd-tele...am-7000009506/ Basically if you even can afford the TV the amount of content is so limited that after you are done with the pre loaded movies, they need to send someone out to your house to re load it. Wow! |

This is how it looks at the moment.
![]() I think that is just fine - as long as the native 4K titles are under the Blu-ray umbrella. The good news for people interested in top quality product right now is that Sony will push "4K mastered" on brand new releases. This initiative will likely introduce some very impressive looking Blu-ray releases later this year, and next. Pro-B |

I also can't see too many people in the general public upgrading to new "4K Ultra HD" televisions after just jumping into the HD bandwagon a few years ago (or even as recently as the past 1 year to 18 months). |

The native 4K content is currently pre-loaded only on the player that Sony is bundling with their 4K TV set. Pro-B |

From what we gather PS4 will support 4K in some way but won't be the 4K package that the PS3 was for blu-ray. Mostly because game devs still don't have a great grasp on developing games in 1080p at 60 fps, so 4K is still out of the picture....for now anyways.
