Australia Casino Royale (2006) 1 disc vs. 2 disc

I am in the United States, I would really like to get the uncut version of Casino Royale (2006), and I'd like to get it from Australia!

I know there are two editions:
1-disc standard and 2-disc Collector's/Deluxe/Limited/whatever-you-call-it

I'd love to have the special features but the most important thing for me is that the film is uncut.
I know the single disc edition is uncut. Is the 2-disc edition also the uncut version of the film?
If so I would love to get the 2-disc!

Thanks for the help!
If anyone could also direct me to any sites, or provide me with links to where I can purchase whichever edition I need I would be very grateful!

If the movie being uncut is your hot button, you might pick up this BD out of the UK. It is uncut according to some of the members here. I have it on my wish list.

Thanks, but from what I've read the UK version is cut, and edited differently

Yes, there are some small cuts on the UK version.

I wish you luck. It sold out quite quickly. I snapped it up straight away when it was released. It never went for less than around $30 when it was in stock (I got mine for $29.84 the week of release) and being that it's quite sought after I expect you'll be paying quite a premium to get it.

Our standard release is uncut though. The main differences between the two are change of codec for the audio (LPCM on the original, TrueHD on the re-release), second disc of features, slipbox and a booklet.

Depends on what your priorities are. If you just want the film uncut then the standard release will do the trick.

I may end up just getting the standard release. Found retailer resource thread though. I'll check it out and see if i can find a 2-disc copy.

That eBay one definitely looks like the US Collector's Edition.

There's no chance of finding it online with any Australian retailers. It's been gone for a number of years. Your only chance would be a private sale like eBay or similar though having had a browse through the listings it doesn't appear there are any available at the moment.

Funny thing is I actually had the 2 disc collectors edition australian release, bought from Bigw a number of years ago, but i ended up returning it for some reason, i even watched it once then returned.
I ended up getting the dvd collectors edition instead.
I now have the aus version of the bond50 collection, is the version in that the uncut one?

Yes, the original UK one(I can't remember which studio, Sony?) was cut, but the new one released by Fox is uncut. I was originally thinking of picking up the French uncut BD when a member told me about the one I suggested to you. But you can double check in the Casino Royale or 50 years of Bond thread to double check.

Yep. I just checked all of them. All out.
Are there any distinctive images, or graphics on the AU Collector's Edition I could keep an eye our for?

So is it that you want the Australian uncut BD JCL or are you in fact just looking for the uncut version of the film?

I have this edition of Casino Royale on dvd.
Plus i have the Aus version of the Bond50 set.

So between those 2 versions does that mean I have an uncut version of the movie and all the special features available?

Or were there different special features between the 2 disc Blu and the 3 disc dvd?
I tried searching for these answers online without success...

The only thing you'd be missing is the PiP commentary track by the film-makers.

The images for the database entry are scans of my copy of the slipbox:

I recently bought a single disc copy from JB Hi-Fi. It came with DTS-HD MA 5.1. I was surprised since blu-ray.com stated LPCM/TrueHD.

I'm looking for the uncut version of the film. It is also apparently uncut in the french release as well, but AU seems like the better choice.

I would really like to get the 2-disc edition since it is uncut. All of the special features, and all of the feature!

That's the Fox re-release. Sony handled the Blu-ray release originally but the rights went back to Fox and they released it again when Bond 50 came out.

OK, I get you. If I didn't already have the American CE I'd probably do the same. It was actually my first disc. So I plan to pick up the UK Fox re-release for that reason. Like you, I want the uncut version. I just don't want to pay through the nose for it.
