I wonder if they will go the Dark Knight/Tron route and have a switching aspect ratio for the IMAX footage or do what Ghost Protocol did and just keep to a set aspect ratio throughout?

Star Trek is Paramount like Ghost Protocol so maybe the locked ratio is their standard practice? I found it distracting with Tron: Legacy.

I think it was the directors wish that Ghost Protocol have a fixed aspect ratio on BD plus Paramount released Transformers 2 with the switching aspect ratios so it's definitely not a studio thing.
