Finally releasing on September 24:

Pretty disappointing if you ask me.

Yeah thats really disappointing, reading the article I can't see if it's getting a UK release....thats even more disappointing

This looks like something they would of quickly threw together straight after the third one released not something you would wait ages for only to get some art cards and some low quality looking toys which look like hot wheels.

I was kind of expecting something...bigger, at least a proper replica from each film along with smaller ones

The letter Gordon was about to read about the truth on Harvey Dent

A batarang

The Utility belt

Harvey dents double sided coin

The grappling gun

The Jokers card

The letter Rachel left Bruce

Something from Catwomen, Alfred, the Scarecrow, Ra's al Ghul, Bane etc

You get my point

I'm still gonna end up getting it but yeah they. Could have added more than justvavfew hot wheels cars.

I don't care about the cars I want the packaging. I've enjoyed Warners big box special editions so far and I don't think this will disappoint.

Would be cheaper for me to buy 'The Art and Making of The Dark Knight Trilogy', which I'm assuming will be a more comprehensive book as well, and then pick up some cheap models of the Tumbler, the Batpod and the Bat (although I'm not really interested in them that much unless they look nicer than the ones in the set). I'm disappointed in this release to be honest, especially considering to get it would be to double dip as I bought each film on day one separately.

Also, the disc configurations (1 for Batman Begins, 2 for TDK, 2 for TDKR) are the same for the existing BDs, so Warner might simply be re-using the same discs for this release anyway. They haven't announced whether they're using new transfers or not.

Just a bit of info:

The Batman HW cars have sat on the shelves for over a year, and seldom move a single unit in a quarter. They're just giving you the toys they can't sell in a box they can sell.

I was really hoping one of those would show up in a version somewhere.

Ah, well, glad I picked up the Asian trilogy import when I did. I'll take a film cell & a box that fits on the shelf any day.

Pretty happy with the set but if you own these movies on blu ray I would say to pass. I didn't have Batman Begins or Dark Knight on blu ray, only DVD, so I felt that justified me getting it. The hot wheel toys are nice, just the stand that the Bat comes on its flimsy, barely holds it up.

I got this set for my birthday back in October and I just got around to opening it. Let me tell you guys, the IMAX special feature alone is worth the purchase. To be able to see these scenes in the original aspect ratio is simply amazing. Not as good as being back in that IMAX theater, but it is still a treat. I can just imagine how good it looks for those of you who have the ability to mask your screens to 4:3.

Yes, i grabbed one day before yesterday on sale, got additional 3$ off with rewards card. Paid roughly $46 and change. Love that set, especially the Mondo prints. On a side note, that bonus disc is worth the price of admission imo. Those Imax scenes in their proper aspect are simply gorgeous.
