Godzilla Sequel May Head to Monster Island for Destroy All Monsters Reboot!

Sequel talks all ready? They must have faith in it. I'm down.

Godzilla director Gareth Edwards revealed at Comic-Con 2013 that his upcoming action-thriller will feature Godzilla doing battle with multiple monsters. The filmmaker teased that, if a sequel were to be made, he wants to go bigger, revealing that one of his favorite movies is Destroy All Monsters, which features 11 different iconic Japanese Kaiju.

If a follow-up does, in fact, happen, the filmmaker has plenty of original Toho monsters to choose from, including Mothra, Gigan, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. Is 11 creatures too many? Or do you want to see as many monsters as humanly possible?
Godzilla comes to theaters May 16th, 2014 and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe, David Strathairn, Richard T. Jones, Sally Hawkins. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards.

Sorry, what's that? Nope, still can't hear you. The sound of angels singing is far too loud. In what is probably the best damned news of the day (or week), Godzilla director Gareth Edwards recently discussed which direction he'd like to go in for the inevitable sequel.

“With the exception of the 1954 original, I would say my second favorite film is Destroy All Monsters,” Edwards tells Screen Rant. “I just love the idea of a monster island. Having a world with these creatures in it. I find that fascinating and would like to treat that realistically. I wouldn’t want to limit it to one other foe; I think it’s more fun to – this question will come back to haunt me if we ever do a sequel – but I think multiple creatures make better movies in terms of the image of Gojira."

Sure, it will be successful... Just like Green Lantern, Pacific Rim and other numerous films where they started writing sequels well before the film actually was released... AND TANKED!

It still has yet to open up in the films two biggest overseas markets, China and Japan.

they arent really big markets, they wont save it from tanking. i have nothing against the movie but its not going to finish up its run in the black.

I loved Green Lantern(1 of the remnant) and still want to see Pacific Rim!

those movies are still enjoyable & to some of us!!!

I thank those that are still making these type of films.
