I just picked up the KDL-40V3000 on Sun this week..... I check online today and see all Sony LCD's come with Sony's blu-ray player for free... 5 days later.

I know they price match for 30 days as its dropped a extra $100 as well which I know I can get... Do I have any chance of getting the player as well..... Would be a sweet christmas present for my parents house !!!

Yes, you should get the same deal as if you bought it this week.

The only problem if the sale is only for online sales....then the actual store won't match the combo deal.

If they say no, tell them you'll take it back unless you get the deal.

They'll take TVs back within 30 days I believe (should be on your receipt).

If they still say no, and you really want the player, take it back, and buy online.

But they could give in to save themselves from trying to re-sell something as open box.

ya, there is no reason they wouldn't give you the deal. The main reason they have the price match for 30 days as there is nothing to stop you from returning it and rebuying it and getting the current price as long as it's within the return timeframe.

I ran into a similar situation when I got my PS3 - came with one free game the week I bought it, next week it came with a different free game that I wanted for. I phoned and asked if I could just swap out the free game and they said no problem (I hadn't opened it yet - since they won't exchange opened software)

FYI, any TV purchased online greater than 40" from Futureshop or Best Buy in Canada needs to be delivered and they hit you with a $45 charge.
I tried to do a pickup, but they refused...even though they had it in stock at the store. I hate that.

Oh I just checked online and the deal is gone already must have been just for Fri. The ad I just got in the paper said the same thing though and says its valid for the week. I gotta check this out and see... would love to give that machine to my parents !

Im gonna bring in the ad flyer from the paper and the online print out that states it... We'll see how it goes !
