Default Bill Hunt has another great article

Bill Hunt has done another great article over at Digitalbits.com under his "My Two Cents" category. Great information on Black Friday, the cancellation of the Onkyo player, possibly for a combo player, and the fact people are slowing down on DVD sales maybe for HD movies in the future.

Before I bought into blu I'd almost completing stopped buying DVD movies as I knew I'd just be replacing them soon. I see a great deal of movies in theatres and rent the ones I don't so I managed just fine.

Since buying into blu my movie spending has been through the roof. Companies (like warner) need to realize that prolonging the format war doesn't just stand to hurt HD sales, but also hurt DVD sales. Instead of people buying a DVD or an HD disc they buy neither and wait.

I really enjoy Bill's articles and not because he's a fan of Blu, it's becuase he made a decision based on facts and numbers.

If Bill Hunt was running Warner, this format war would have never even started.

Once again a great article that cut's straight to the crucial points.

i wonder how the HD-DVD fanboys will spin this?

i didnt know the Ventura player may be a rebaged A3. thats just unreal if true (which would make it real, but you catch my drift).

If i buy a dvd it feels like throwing money away, as i know at some point i will buy it on HiDef. so whats the point.

Blu ray standalone player sales at 300 odd thousand. Thats really not bad givin the price difference. Now with the new panasonic etc, i reckon there gonna start catching HD DVD regardless of the price gap.
