Default Turning off Dynamic Contrast on a Philips LED TV

The colors themselves are fine, but the problem lies within the crushed blacks.

I've set the brightness high and low, but the blacks remain crushed and ugly to look at. Unfortunately, the main menu doesn't allow me to minimize or turn off dynamic contrast (I know this is the problem I'm having). The main menu only gives me the option to use the Settings Assistant, adjust the brightness / contrast / color / tint / sharpness / temperature.

I saw a thread where other Philip users shared their custom settings, but they all included dynamic contrast being off / set to a minimum and a custom temperature setting. Does anyone know how I can access these controls? Is there a code I enter on my remote or anything?

I would have posted this in that thread, but it hasn't been active since Sept. 2010, so I saw it as pointless.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
