Lossless audio support comparison between HD DVD & Blu-ray on available titles.
HD DVD only 20% have lossless audio ![]() BLU-RAY more than 60% have lossless audio ![]() Another reason why Blu-ray is the right choice Via http://www.blu-raystats.com/index.php |

A more accurate and more legit way to compare is all exclusive hd dvd vs all exclusive BD releases. Should be over 90% for BD, and 10-15% for hd dvd.. |

Indeed. If you remove Paramount films (as they are no longer available) the figures are even worse for HD-DVD.

Not exactly true. I don't know about HD-DVD (never touch the stuff), but 2001 on BD has PCM, and the Potter releases are said to have PCM audio as well; I'm sure there are others.

Warner's only puts lossless/uncompressed on Blu-ray if there is room for lossless on the HD DVD counterparts. Otherwise, they don't want Blu-ray "upstaging" the HD DVD movie.
