Red face Ratatouille playback on Samsung BD-P1400 (update)

As posted before, I've had an issue with playing Ratatouille on my BD-P1400 (I've downloaded the latest firmware), as the movie tends to stutter/pause in the exact same scenes, about 6 times in all. I took the disc back to Best Buy, where I bought it, and played it on their display BD-1400. Again, the image stuttered in same spots, so the sales rep allowed me to exchange the disc for a new one. Back home, this new disc stutters in the same spots. The new disc has the same stock number as the old one, though, so maybe that batch of discs is defective? I called Disney Home Video, and the technician said this is definitely not a widespread problem. Anyone have any similar experiences? Would it matter if I re-installed the player's firmware via CD? I'd rather wait at least a year before buying a new player...I'd like the kinks in the current generation to get worked out. Thanks!

You should of tried it in a couple of different players.

I played the disc in my friend's PS3, and it worked flawlessly, so I used the store's BD-P1400 to make sure it wasn't just my individual player or disc copy. I called Samsung regarding this, and they said it's a firmware issue. The latest build of firmware update 1.2 was released Dec. 11. Unfortunately, I installed the first build of update 1.2 when it was released Nov. 19, and the player doesn't recognize new builds of the same update when you use an ethernet connection, so I need to request a CD (I don't have the recommended software to burn my own CD). This is the first Samsung product that's ever given me trouble; guess you can't win 'em all.

I had no problems playing Ratatouille on my BDP1400. It played flawlessly even prior to my updating firmware 1.2.
