The purchase price was £1,950,000

Without the last zero, some people might think you meant one thousand nine hundred and fifty, instead of one million, nine hundred and fifty thousand. For our US friends, it equates to not much under $4 million.

Well, at least Amazon isn't going to put it in some vault.

J.K. Rowling retains publishing rights, and at this time she has not published these stories for distribution. Of course, if and when they are published, we hope to be able to offer them to our customers.

At the moment, we're sharing the book through photos and editorial reviews, more of which will be posted today and in the coming days. We also plan on taking the book on tour to libraries and schools so that kids can get a look at the magic in Rowling's own handwriting.

Yeah, isnt' it though. But since I've spent literally thousands of dollars with amazon I can't shake the feeling that part of this book belongs to me
