The picture won't turn on. All I get is sound. I'll never buy Samsung again.

Well how old is it? How often do you use it? Its not fair to blame Samsung things unfortunately don't last forever especially electronics. I had a Toshiba crap out on me this year that I paid $4500 for but it lasted me 14 years and I watched it about 5-6 hours a day

i have read alot of samsung problems, i never owned one, but wouldn't be against it
i always thought sony was the most reliable, if you can afford it always buy an extended warranty

Relax man, all you need is a new motherboard(video board). You can put it in yourself. It's simple, you can youtube it. I would've been concerned if it didnt power on all together, but at least it is on and you are hearing sound.

Assuming it's a D or E-series(3.5yrs). Just checked and there are plenty of replacement boards for both on ebay.
