Australia Roadshow October 4K slate - Argo, Gatsby, Jupiter Ascending, Pacific Rim, Tarzan

Just got Roadshow's latest release update, and there's some cool 4K discs coming out in October:

19-Oct Argo (New to 4K UHD Blu-ray)

19-Oct The Great Gatsby (New to 4K UHD Blu-ray)

19-Oct Jupiter Ascending (New to 4K UHD Blu-ray

19-Oct Pacific Rim (New to 4K UHD Blu-ray)

19-Oct Legend of Tarzan

Gatsby with a HDR pass? OMG.

Gatsby would be spectacular in 4K. Definitely something I'll consider.

2K DI because it was filmed in 3D, but HDR pass should be sumptuous.

Twenty bucks? I'm guessing its not a 4K DI?

2K DI according to IMDB. However, according to another source (which was posted by a member in the Great Gatsby thread in the UHD sub-forum), it was finished at 2.5K:

https://britishcinematographer.co.uk...-great-gatsby/

Edit: It's not the first UHD title distributed by Roadshow to be twenty bucks. The Lego Movie, The Expendables 3, and Man of Steel were all priced at $19.98 upon release.

Have any AUS releases provided a 4K UV code redemption, like the US releases? Except for 20th Century Fox..

As a side note, I wonder if this means that Roadshow has picked up the local rights to the John Wick sequel. As of last week, it didn't have a local distributor!

According to IMDB Roadshow is the local distributor and when I messaged them from their Facebook page about a release date they said it hasn't been dated yet but to watch their page suggesting they are distributing it. Hope they don't plan to release it straight to Blu-Ray - the first film only made a bit over $3 million in Australia and never got a NZ cinema release at all.

Here's the email response I received last week from the head of theatrical pr at Roadshow :

"JOHN WICK 2 isn't actual one of our titles, I also don't believe it has an Australian release date yet as I can't find it anywhere.

If we do happen to pick it up, I'll be sure to let you know."

Wow that interesting. I wasn't trying to contradict you its just that when I messaged Roadshow on Facebook their response was: "Hi. We cannot confirm the release date yet but keep an eye on the page for all the latest news!" So I assumed given its a Lionsgate release and Roadshow always has released Lionsgate titles that they did have the title but it was undated as yet. Your response is obviously far more direct and makes me wonder why Roadshow didn't get the title given they had the first and its still a Lionsgate title.

So it turns out that distributor eOne has the rights in Australia and according to numerous recent requests from people on Twitter asking why its not coming out to concicide with the U.S release their reply is that they are waiting to confirm screen count with the cinema chains before being able to schedule its release. It hasn't been classified by the OFLC yet either.
