Default Batman playing on Blu-ray at CompUSA

It was playing on a Samsung Blu Ray player, it wasn't the whole movie, so it was just a demo disc. They also said Coming Soon to Blu Ray from Warner Brothers at the end. Very interesting.

Well Warner doesn't have any excuses left now that 1.1 is live.

Hopefully we will see the rest of the titles on blu in Q1 08.

Now that you mention about getting people's hopes up, I'm not sure if it said "Coming soon" or "Coming very soon" at the end....

I'm certainly more likely to buy 'V For Vendetta' before 'Batman Begins'... unless 'The Dark Knight' is superlatively good. Then I may pick up 'Batman Begins' in order to have the full story in my collection.

Isn't it pretty obvious that that odds are we're going to get BB on BD when the Dark Knight is released on BD?

I would very much like these from Warner that are on that other format:

Forbidden Planet
Matrix Trilogy
Casablanca
Robin Hood
V for Vendetta
Batman Begins

But I respectfully would like a Blu-ray specific transfer so that lossless could be a possibility (well, not so much on Robin Hood and Casablanca) but the best transfer possible.

I saw a Batman demo playing off a Samsung Blu-ray player at Best Buy tonight on the Samsung LCD that has the 500,000:1 contrast ratio. It had split screen showing the difference between the led backlighting being on and off. So the demo had to be pretty new since the LCDs just came out.

I need The new Batman movies on Blu Ray. Batman Begins was awesome and The Dark Knight looks awesome.

I also hope they start selling the Spider Man movies seperate.

One can only hope
