Has been announced for a 3D release at least in the UK. Hope a U.S. 3D announcement follows, but could see this being an international 3D only title as well.

At my local IMAX (Germany) i saw an announcement of the movie in 3D!

Oh snap! I loved the first movie and have seen previews for the second one and looks fantastic.....but I haven't seen any mention of it being in 3D here in the US. Fingers crossed it gets it here. 3D would be icing on the cake.
I just googled it and it lists it as being 3D on the wikipedia page.

Surprised I thought Vaughan hated 3D. Not really fussed about this movie as I wasn't much of a fan of the first but 3D would peak my interest for the action scenes.

If it is 3D, it's likely for international release only.

This has a September 22nd release date here in the US. I still haven't heard any word on this being shown in 3D here. It'll be a real shame if it isn't.

Sorry, but the 3D release is for international territories (mainly the UK) only. I may get it.

If I can find a Region A/Free Blu-Ray of this, which I most likely can from Asia, I'd love to be able to watch this in 3D. Shame this won't be in 3D in US theaters!

You can see in the previews that some of the scenes appear to be shot with 3D in mind. Particularly that lasso scene where the loop is coming at the viewer. It still breaks my heart some countries will get the 3D while others won't

Yes, this movie looks perfect for 3D with the slow motion matrix shots, but sadly won't be a 3D release in US theaters or on blu ray 3D, so it'll have to be imported for 3D blu ray. I saw the trailers several times and zero mention of 3D in the US.

Fingers crossed it does. The first one is one of my favorite movies so having the 2nd one in 3D for home would be fantastic.

No 3D showings listed for my local here in the UK so it doesn't look like UK is getting the 3D version. As I said before I really didn't like the first movie much so I wasn't fussed about this sequel but I always support 3D blu rays so it's a shame the UK market seemingly won't be getting this.

You can already buy tickets to the preview screenings in 3D here in Germany.

I don't have my hopes up for a home 3D release. Remember that Fox didn't release Ben Hur or Maze Runner The Scorch Trials or Trolls on 3D blu ray at all...
