Default I was just amazed again by...

You know, we who have had Blu-ray in our lives for a year or more can sometimes become used to the excellent picture that it can provide but every now and again you rewatch a Blu-ray and it just amazes you that you get a picture so crisp, so full of detail you have to pinch yourself to make sure you are not dreaming. Most recently for me that Blu-ray was Live Free or Die Hard it just blew my mind that it looks as good as it does. What Blu-ray has done that for you recently?

Emptied my wallet, cracked my foundation, spooked my dog, upset my neighbors, mixed my drink, deafened my ears - the list goes on.

I agree with Live Free or Die Hard, I loved the PQ and to me was some of the best AQ so far on my system. The Audio was great

I've been blu for 9 months now. I still cannot get over how semi-dark scenes/movies (Underworld for one) can look so pristine and visible. I remember years back in the theaters watching dark films that DVDs could not reproduce without a ton of PQ noise making the movie literally difficult to see what was going on. Dark scenes/movies you can actually see as was seen in the theater continues to impress me. SQ never seems to become common place. Always a new and exciting experience every time.

I 1st noticed it when I was watching Apocolypto. The scenery shots where so amazing and unreal. I got curious and rented the DVD from Netflix and talk about A HUGE DIFFERENCE it just wasn't even close IMO

I still have to pop in Underworld (both of them) I had them both on DVD, and had to double dip and pick them up on Blu, I haven't even watched them yet on BLU....as with about 20 other titles I have. I need to catch up with some movie time.

Yeah.. granted newer DVDs have better encodes than older ones. I compared my Fifth Element DVD and Blu-ray and the DVD looks atrocious. Downright horrible compared.. But that is one great looking BD
