Interested do we know the difference between 3d conversion partner, and simply 3d conversion. They list both on there website depending on the film.

My thoughts exactly, I almost passed on this movie but a few friends kept saying it was a good movie so I bought the 3d version and we all watched it.

The 3D in the first film is unbelievable. I popped it in my player last week to test something, and wow, I'd forgotten just how strong the 3D was in the first film.

This looks like a hopefully entertaining sequel. If the 3D matches the medium to strong 3D of Pacific Rim 1, even better. Lots of daylight scenes in this one should look nice in stronger 3D.

They showed that same preview in 3D when I went to see the new Blade Runner 2049 3D. It looks very promising.

Unfortunately, this one is being distributed by Universal. So those of us in the US will almost certainly have to import the 3D Blu-ray.

That's fine with me. It's their loss. 3D blu rays are usually cheaper overseas anyway.

That's okay, I'll just add it to the 50 other titles I've imported. If the 3d is as good as the first one, it's a must have.

I’m such a fan of the first one that this is a must-have regardless of reviews or feedback from anyone. The UHD and 3D presentation were top-tier and if this is half of what those were it’s worth my money

Yeah, it seems I'll have more imports than domestic releases this year.

there's a 99.9% percent chance that this film won't get a blu ray 3d release in the U.S. and will most likely have to import the 3d from overseas, because of Universal.

If it was Warner Bros. (who distributed the first film) distributed the sequel in the U.S. rather than Universal then it would have been a different story and the chances of a blu ray 3d release in the U.S. from Warner Bros. would have been very likely (yes, we would lose the ATMOS track on the 3d disc if it was distributed by Warner Bros.) but because this film is being distributed in the U.S. by Universal, the chances of a blu ray 3d release in the U.S. are very unlikely.

If it's a Universal release as mentioned earlier, there is an excellent chance that it will be region free.
