I was momentarily excited when I thought this was the 1939 Stagecoach (an absolute classic). Can say I’ve never heard of this film now I know it not to be the 1939 film.

1939 was such a great year for films,
1. Gone With The Wind, 2. Beau Geste, 3. Gunga Din, 4. Wizard of Oz, 5. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, 6. Mr. Smith Goes to Washington 7. Wuthering Heights 8. Stagecoach 9. Dark Victory 10. Goodbye Mr. Chips and the like, all classics |

I recently bought this on BD at Dollar General for $2.95 plus tax. I watched it yesterday. It was good, but not great. The special features mention that it was show in 11 days. At times, it shows. I was not expecting John Wayne / Clint Eastwood quality, so I was OK with how it went. :-)

This was ok. The story was alright and had a few surprises. The PQ was very good. Not much going on in terms of audio. My main issue with it was that it didn't look like they were in Texas. It's like a Western that takes place in a forest.

Yeah, gotta have a decent set and a good location for a western. It goes for every movie. but Westerns are the most obvious I think.
